EcoTech Connect is a dedicated space for all the UC Berkeley community of researchers of all skill levels to come together and explore the technical best practices shaping environmental science. The primary focus is on reproducible data analysis, cutting-edge methods in environmental research, software engineering, and collaborative programming. By engaging in these discussions, participants will gain insights into the "why" behind these practices, emphasizing the rationale and long-term benefits rather than just the technical steps.
Annie Snyder
Annie Snyder is a Product Manager Fellow at the Eric and Wendy Schmidt Center for Data Science and Environment at UC Berkeley (DSE) in partnership with Schmidt Futures. She works with the Indigenous Environmental Stewardship program.
Kristin Davis
Kristin is a postdoctoral researcher with the Schmidt Center for Data Science and Environment and the Stone Center for Environmental Stewardship at UC Berkeley. She got her master’s degree and PhD at Colorado State University and her bachelor’s degree at The College of William and Mary.
Felipe Montealegre-Mora
Felipe Montealegre-Mora is a Postdoctoral researcher at the Eric and Wendy Schmidt Center for Data Science and Environment at UC Berkeley (DSE). Coming from a theoretical physics and computational background, Felipe is interested in applying statistical and AI methodologies to understanding environmental processes.

Amy Van Scoyoc is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Eric and Wendy Schmidt Center for Data Science and Environment at UC Berkeley (DSE). As a wildlife ecologist and data scientist, Amy focuses on understanding how society, land-use, and climate affect biodiversity using a suite of spatial tools.

Danielle Louie is a fourth-year undergraduate at UC Berkeley, majoring in Data Science and Sustainable Environmental Design. She is currently interning as a Data Scientist at the Eric and Wendy Schmidt Center for Data Science and Environment at UC Berkeley (DSE). Danielle is passionate about leveraging technology to model and design sustainable solutions that are accessible to all communities.
